Our Story

 Lather + Lounge Soap Co. is a woman owned, family run small business in Tampa, Fl. 

  As a young child, Founder Jen Griffiths would whip up salt and sugar scrubs to gift to family for the holidays and in the 5th grade she read a story in her elementary text book about the old ways of soaping.. from that moment on she knew she would someday learn the old art of cold process soapmaking. 

           Years later, in 2010 (now a new mom) Jen found a soapmaking book, unexpectedly at a local thrift store and was reminded of that desire she had to learn the craft. She made her first batch of soap in her kitchen with her best friend and her toddler son running around and that's where the journey began! From her tiny kitchen she started her small business while taking care of her two kids and later rented a work space as things grew. 

In 2020 it was time for a change, with a new baby on the way, a new marriage and the craziness of the pandemic she began working on a new venture, Lather+ Lounge. 

Jen and her supportive husband Jon decided to make L+L a family affair and work from their humble studio daily. They love what they do and are eager to see what the future holds!

With 13+ years of experience, a huge attention to detail and a love for nature, our products are made with pure

ingredients and immense passion! Soap is in our name but that isn't all we offer. 

Our line includes hand poured  soy candles, artisan perfume,  and many other luxurious products.
